Story

Axe Roofing are a family orientated growing business in the Construction Industry. As a business we have decided to do something challenging for all office staff to give back and support a charity close to our hearts.

The Challenge we have set ourselves is to trek to the top of Ben Nevis, starting our trek at midnight, with the hope of to reach the summit before sunrise.

The Charity we have chosen is PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) who have given support to a family member of Axe Roofing through a difficult time.

What is PKD? PKD is an inherited disease in which clusters of cysts develop primarily within your kidneys, causing them to enlarge and lose function. Affecting over 12m people globally, it's the most common genetic kidney disease, and the 4th leading cause of kidney failure.

A member of our team, already one kidney less than everyone else from helping his family many years ago. Above this, he has provided as much physical/emotional support as possible for his sibling during her treatment. He is well up for the challenge and as a team we are all willing to support him and give back to the PKD Charity what we can.

Please help us reach our target with any size/shape donation possible.
