Story

We have unfortunately had first hand experience with Alzheimer’s, we had to watch as my late father-in-law Colin starting to forget family members as they are now, holding onto memories long forgotten but for him reality. It was mostly painful & upsetting to watch how he had forgotten who his wife was of 60 years, not by name or memory but of the woman who stood besides him not matching his recollection. The fear in his eyes when he didn’t understand who was there with him or where he was, will never leave us.

Our son-in-laws brother Keith has also now been hit with this cruel disease, and his family are all going through the same process.

Sadly we have to update: since starting this page Keith lost his battle with alzheimers in April.

this makes our walk even more poignant.

That is why Ruth & I are raising funds for this worthy cause.
