Story
Team FVC Runners are Rachel, Linda, Kate and Susan - 4 members of Forth Valley Chorus who are taking on the Edinburgh Marathon Relay on Sunday 26 May to raise money for Marie Curie.
We’ll be running legs of 8.3 miles, 5.5 miles, 8 miles and 4.4 miles - a lot further than most of us currently run!
We’ve been inspired to take on this challenge because a number of our Forth Valley Chorus friends, and Linda’s sister, have been diagnosed with cancer in recent times. We’d like to dedicate our run to Linda’s sister and to all our FVC buddies who’ve been affected. In particular this is in memory of our lovely friends Margaret Murdoch, Alison Lee, and Shona Muir - all taken far too soon and very much missed.
Marie Curie provides such valuable support and care to people affected by this horrible disease, and we very much appreciate any donations to this wonderful charity.
Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone. And we push for a better end of life for all by campaigning and sharing research to change the system.
Marie Curie is a charity working across the UK and we need your support to do our vital work.
