Story

We’re running the Great North Run 2026 in support of Prostate Cancer UK.

The 7th September marks our Dad’s 10th anniversary, so Team Watson are running again to raise money for this very worthy cause. It’s extra special this year as Charlie is also running for the first time this year in memory of his Grandad, who would be so proud of him.

Quite simply, he was a brilliant Dad, Grandad and Husband and we’re lucky to have so many happy memories of him. A real family man who was proud of us all and we hope to make him proud again, though most likely he’d think we’ve gone mad!

He is very missed and never far from our thoughts but while he was taken from us too soon, we hope to help other families by raising lots of money to support people going through this.

We would be extremely grateful if you can show your support and make a donation to help us raise money for PCUK and help men facing Prostate Cancer.

We recognise things are tight for many and the pressures of other worthy charities to donate to, so any donation no matter the size, is greatly appreciated 💙.

Thank you for reading our story and for your support 🩵💙🩵💙.

Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK. That's one dad, partner, brother, grandad, or mate. We’re raising money to help fund lifesaving research and support for men and their families affected by prostate cancer.

Prostate Cancer UK are committed to a world where men's lives are not limited by prostate cancer. Your donations can help make this possible.
