Story
London Marathon here we come! Together we have somehow got into this year’s London Marathon through the ballot. To celebrate this amazing coincidence, we have decided to run for two great charities, Breast Cancer UK and Little Hero!
Both are close to our hearts...
For Breast Cancer we have had close family & friends affected by this horrible diagnosis. Thankfully the 2 people that were recently affected, Catherine Knight (Mrs Knight), Staverton School & Jayne Perrin (Mrs Perrin) West Ashton School. Both have made a full recovery which is detriment to the fantastic work that this charity does on a daily basis. There are other family members & friends affected whom would like to stay anonymous, but we run for all of you!
The second of our two great charities are "Little Hero". This was chosen by, the fantastic, Jamie Butcher who himself has been through a traumatic and challenging time. Jamie, who plays for Staverton Rangers U7's, was diagnosed with a brain tumour when very young. Wonderfully, thanks to his strength and courage, he ️is getting better day by day. This little lad brings a smile to our faces whenever we see him.
Little Hero are a charity set up by the parents of a boy, like Jamie, whose son was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Their story and heartbreak can be found on their website and charity page.
To this end, we would like to raise as much as possible for each of these wonderful charities. Please feel free to donate to either one, or both if you wish. Our aim is to help out as much as possible…Remember, every pence, penny and pound helps!
