Story
In November 2025, our lives changed in a way no parent ever expects. My son Louie was just 7 weeks old when he was admitted to hospital with a serious infection called staphylococcus. What started as every parent’s worry quickly became something far more frightening, as the infection affected both his tiny arm and hip.
Over the following weeks, Louie showed incredible strength as he underwent two operations to clear the infection. Watching such a small baby go through so much was heartbreaking, but the care, dedication, and compassion shown by the medical team gave us hope when we needed it most.
Louie remained in hospital until December 2025, and although he is now home, his journey isn’t over. He will continue to be under specialist care as he grows, all the way through to adulthood.
The support we received during such a difficult time is something we will never forget. That’s why this April, I am taking on a personal challenge—walking 104 miles—to give something back and help other families who may face similar battles.
Every donation, no matter how small, will help support the incredible work that made such a difference to Louie’s life and ours. Thank you for being part of this journey with us. 💙
