Story
Nadia, Callum, Malin, Ollie and Lauren will be completing the 26 mile South Coast Mighty Hike on the 6th June 2020. Callum, Malin, Ollie and Lauren met Cameron at uni and became very good friends and through Cameron we met his girlfriend Nadia. In September 2017, Cameron was diagnosed with testicular cancer and has been receiving treatment at the Royal Marsden ever since and sadly isn't having the easiest time. Cameron's mum, Jackie also received treatment at the Marsden until she sadly lost her battle with cancer in 2010.
No one should have to go through cancer, particularly not at 19. Cameron means a tremendous amount to us all and despite everything he is going through he always greets us with a big smile and asks how we are. We are doing this walk in honour of him, it is impossible to understand what he is going through and how he is feeling but the work that Macmillian do is vital in his battle. Throughout 2017, it is estimated 1.6 million people received personal, high-impact support from one or more of the Macmillain professionals or services. One in two people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lives and Macmillian help support these people, practically, financially, physically and emotionally.
No one should have to suffer, especially not alone. Macmillian is completely dependent on our donations so we are doing this walk to raise money to help Macmillian continue their incredible work and help change lives and maybe one day beat cancer once and for all.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our just giving page. Please dig deep, every donation is so greatly appreciated as this charity is very close to our hearts.
Thank you,
Nadia, Callum, Malin, Ollie and Lauren
