Supporters of the charity will be trekking over 80kms in 5 days taking on some of Icelands toughest volcanoes & glaciers. To top it off, they will also be climbing Icelands highest mountain at 2110m from sea level on their last day.

Story

Julie and I will be heading to one of Iceland's most remote areas our supports will trek 80kms in 5 days surrounded by arctic birch forests, giant glaciers, dramatic waterfalls and towering volcanoes whilst each night camping in locations far away from any civilisation. After 5 days they will reach the Skaftafell National Park where they will take on Iceland's highest peak Hvannadalshnukur (2110m), which also happens to be an active volcano!

We are helpng to raise money forTwo beneficiaries and then others for other treks, to go on this trip with all expenses paid + a supportive development programme which will be designed around their needs to assist them post climb.

We hope to be doing some great events when we are out of Lockdown at Balance the countryside gym to raise these funds. But if you are unable to do any of them either here or on Zoom, then please feel free to donate to this fantastic cause and help us raise much needed funds for others to benefit from challenging themselves and finding our more about how this type of trip can benefit you both mentally and physically.

Thank you

Sue and Julie
