Story
In April 2024, we received the worst news while on holiday - our dogsitter had accidentally let Monty out, and he had been missing for hours. It was a nightmare scenario, feeling helpless while being so far away. That's when Drone to Home stepped in. This small but mighty charity, run by ex-police specialising in finding lost animals, arrived on the scene within an hour of being called. From the moment we contacted them, they provided invaluable guidance and support, treating Monty's disappearance like a missing persons case. Not just a charity with all different kinds of drones that were up searching for Monty, they tirelessly tracked down CCTV footage, spoke to witnesses, and pieced together where he might have ended up. Their professionalism and emotional support were unwavering throughout the entire ordeal.
After 4.5 agonising days, Monty was found seriously injured and had lost a leg. Despite his ongoing nervousness, he was finally home safely. We will forever be grateful for Drone to Home's exceptional help during a horrific time for us.
We are participating in the Peak District Ultra Challenge 2024 trek to raise funds for Drone to Home so that they can continue their work helping families like ours.
