Raising money for Cancer Research UK and RNIB - Royal National Institute of Blind People

Story

With Molly studying at Newcastle Uni and me looking for a challenge to get fitter in 2023 we have decided to enter the Great North Run. We are raising money for two charities with connections to my Mum and Dad and Mollys grandparents. These are Cancer Research and RNIB (Royal National Institure for the Blind). Mum has been severely sight impaired for a number of years and the RNIB have been a invaluable source of help as she adjusted to life with macular degeneration. Dad was diagniosed with prostate cancer some years ago and recently discovered he has bladder cancer.

So our challenge is to get fit, complete the race and raise some much needed cash for these two charities. We hope the money raised will go towards helping other people who find themselves suffering from these two conditions.

We realise that these are difficult times for everyone but if you are able to support us we would be extremely grateful. Many thanks.
