Story
In May 2023, We are taking on a Mighty Hike along the picturesque Norfolk coastline to raise money for people living with cancer.
In November 2020 Kathy was diagnosed with breast cancer and under went radio and chemotherapy. In November 2021 Kathy was told she was cancer free and she returned to work and the things she enjoyed the most.
In August 2022 Kathy was taken to doctors as she was feeling unwell, we thought it was heat exhaustion as she kept feeling faint. They found out that her breast cancer had come back and was now in her liver and very aggressive. After many tests and hospital stays we found out unfortunately there was nothing more they could do for her. In September 2022;Kathy lost her battle and passed away peacefully at home in her sleep with Dad by her side, this is what she had wanted.
Macmillan and other charities helped Kathy throughout her battle with cancer and we are forever grateful for the care and support they gave her particularly in her last few weeks.
We have pledged to raise £250 each and would appreciate any support in reaching this. It could go towards funding a Macmillan Support Worker for two days who could provide emotional, practical and financial advice to someone affected by cancer. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
