We are a group of friends belonging to BMF Manchester and local running clubs, who wish to raise funds and recognise the amazing work of Christie’s Hospital. Not all heroes wear capes !

This has been an extremely difficult time for everyone and every £1 will make a difference to support someone’s recovery from cancer or even save somebody’s life !

We plan to run The PARAS’10 ..... this is a grueling 10 mile endurance race based on the 10 miler from The Parachute Regiment’s P Company test week. (complete the course in boots and carrying a 35lb pack) within 2 hours at Catterick Garrison!

In addition we also plan a punishing programme of events along the way, including a 874 mile virtual walk/run from John O Groats to Lands’ End,

We will end the tough series, by competing in the Manchester Marathon.This will be a 26 mile slog, with broken bodies,bleeding feet ... but not spirits ! 💪🙌

‘Many, many thanks to The Christie’s Cancer Hospital and all the health care agencies/professionals who worked with them for saving my life. I am a cancer patient who was diagnosed with breast cancer. The medical health teams took care of me brilliantly. They were very professional and made me feel at ease which boosted my confidence and gave me hope and an assurance that my cancer was treatable.

They fought with their lives during the pandemic/covid to prevent the cancer from taking my life. They were exceptional and remarkable to me.

My treatment is still ongoing but I am confident that I am in safe hands and cancer will not define me.

I am asking you to please support The Christie’s to save more lives by discovering new ways to prevent, diagnosis and treat cancer while supporting patients and their families through this journey.
