COVID stopped our walk that was planned for 2020, so now Gerard, Helen, Ruth, Penny and I are planning this one for Summer 2022. My grandad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and Dementia in January 2019 and the lockdowns have had a big impact on his condition and how he lives his life. I want to support those living with dementia and their carers to give them as much support as possible as we continue to look for a cure for this horrible illness.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
