Last week, very unexpectedly, Spike (Michael Maynard) was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, although this can be managed it still has quite an impact with daily treatment. Spike, has taken it all in his stride and amazed his allocated nurse how well he is dealing with it. Over the years he will no doubt need support and continuous research for treatments are driven by charities that rely on help from donations.

Myself and Tim Spring will be riding the Ride London 100 (yes 100 miles) on 16th August to do our small bit to help. We are trying to raise £1050 so any help, however small, will be gratefully received.
