Story
We’re taking part in the Pink Ribbon Walk to help Breast Cancer Now fund their life-saving science and life-changing support for anyone affected by breast cancer.
Last year Alistair and I did the 10 mile walk in Crieff. This year it’s in Edinburgh and we’ll be joined by family, Moira and Erin Howie (with ground support from Dougie Howie) and Louise and Endre with Baby Nina slinging along for the ride. You can find Louise’s page here if you’d like to sponsor her directly - https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/pinkribbonwalk2026edinburgh-louisegaw
You can see us off at 10am in Holyrood Park on Saturday 20 June. We’ll be posting updates as we go!
When Breast Cancer Now's Pink Ribbon Walks first took place in 2005, 8 in 10 women in the UK survived breast cancer for 5 or more years. Now, it’s 9 in 10. That’s the power of science and support in action. But breast cancer is still the most common cancer in women in the UK. So we’ve still got a long way to go.
Breast Cancer Now are working towards a future where everyone with breast cancer lives and lives well. But to make that change happen, we need to act. Now.
By sponsoring my Pink Ribbon Walk you can help change the lives of men and women and the future of breast cancer. Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
