Story

We are a group of enthusiastic cyclists (Jeff, Dan, John and Steve) who decided to rise to the Prostrate Cancer May 100 Challenge and support our good friend ‘The Masked Warrior’ - who wishes to remain anonymous and tells his own story below.
I am a prostate cancer victim but, I am also ’The Masked Warrior’ 🦹🏼♂️ These are my hopes, fears and feelings.
I am a man who;
Is trying to come to come to terms with a new big life-threatening challenge. Hates a ’big fuss’ and just needs to get on with treatment.Has the full support of a fantastic loving partner and family. Really just wants life to return to normal. Is struggling with the emotional turmoil of cancer diagnosis. Appreciates the love and kind thoughts from friends all around the world. Accepts that the tumour can be controlled not cured. More than ever appreciates sunrises, quiet places and tranquillity. Is focussing on fitness, nutritional and mental wellness. Just puts one foot in front of the other and repeats. Is confronting personal fears every day. Is humbled by the thought that so many others want to help. Has raised funds for charities now providing such kind support. Appreciates the love that flows between us all.
Without Prostate Cancer Care I would be in a very dark place. But, with their help I am a superhero and I will survive and live my brilliant life.
Please sponsor the team and give other men the chance to become superheroes 👍
We are going to cycle 180 miles from Walney Island to Whitby on 22nd/23rd May - whatever the weather!!!
