Story

Five runners from Senior Endurance - Joy Radford, George Belfield, Ian Sanders, Ed Gurney and Cathy Kinnear are running the London Marathon on 3 October 2021 for Treloar’s.

We’re organising a 20m training run, “The Treloar’s 20” on 12 September from Anstey Park in Alton via Treloar’s school. It’s a 2 ½ lap run around the course of the Alton 10. We hope many of our club mates will join us. This will be one of the last long training runs before the marathon.

Treloar’s is a local charity in Alton, Hampshire. It enables education for severely disabled young people. It offers teaching, learning, professional care, therapy and guidance so that every individual can live, learn, achieve and work towards a future that is as independent as possible. Each year Treloar’s has to raise around £2 million to provide their students with access to the specialist equipment, opportunities and staff that give them the confidence and skills so they can realise their full potential in life.

No pressure at all but if any of our clubmates would like to sponsor us as a team we would be most grateful.
