Story
On the 12th July Alex, James and Mike will be attempting to complete the George Fisher Tea Round. It is a 30 mile ultra marathon route with 12,000+ feet of ascent that starts and finishes at the doors of George Fisher in Keswick.
The boys will be doing it to raise as much money as possible for the amazing charity Duchenne UK in support of Alex’s nephew Thomas who has the condition.
Team Thomas supports Duchenne UK, a charity that has one clear aim: to end Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).
DMD is a devastating muscle-wasting disease. It is the most common and severe form of muscular dystrophy. Diagnosed in childhood, it mainly affects boys.
Started by families affected by the disease, Duchenne UK is the leading DMD charity in the UK: connecting the best researchers with industry, the NHS and families to advance and accelerate every stage of drug development.
