Meet Team TLC & Food By Dish! For 30 years, Thames Luxury Charters have operated private charter vessels on the London Thames and now we are trading in our deck shoes and lacing up our trainers to run the Royal Parks Half Marathon in support of Starlight UK.

Starlight is the national charity for children’s play in healthcare, supporting children to experience the power of play to boost their wellbeing during illness. Having the opportunity to play in healthcare settings can reduce the fear and distress that many children feel when they are unwell and support from health play specialists can mitigate the pain and trauma of treatment.

Myself (Richard), Sam, Nick, Rob, Bayley, Lilly and Harvey all bring our own personal connection to the charity and despite some of us having never run a half-marathon before, we are determined to reach the finish line and hit our fundraising goal! It’s also important to us here at TLC that our efforts extend beyond the race itself – we are committed to continuing to raise funds and spread awareness of the incredible work that Starlight do.
