We raise money for our hospitals to do great things for patient care

Story

We will be raising money for Anthony Nolan and Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity, with donations for the later going to The Oncology and Haematology Units at Bristol Royal Infirmary.

Cancer touches all of us in our lifetime, either directly or a family member or friend. A significant amount of the money available for research and treatment is raised through charitable donations.

Kevin Spear, MD at Mortgage Marketplace says “The Oncology and Haematology Units at BRI is a centre of expertise and care for the whole of the South West region, delivering some amazing work. This charity is close to our hearts. Both myself and a colleague have had close family members treated for blood born cancers by the team there. We are committed to doing the fundraise to support the tremendous work being done every day.”

In June 2022 Kevin will circumnavigate the entire Cornish Coast via solo Sea Kayak. He will paddle for 8-10 days from Rame Head near Plymouth all the way to Hartland Quay, just across the Devon border!

He is passionate about the outdoors and is a keen Sea Kayaker, but nonetheless this will be a gruelling test of his skills, resilience and endurance. The hope is through raising awareness, sharing and donating as much as possible, the event will raise a significant amount of money.

Please help this incredible cause and cheer Kevin on by donating as much as you can. Every penny counts. Donate now and choose which charity you wish to support.

More information and updates can be found on the Mortgage Marketplace website and social media.
