This scholarship fund is in honor of Sadhvi Sharma who died in March 2021 aged just 39. The fund will provide annual paid internships for individuals working with WORLDwrite and using film, TV and journalism to promote the best for humanity.

Story

We're doing a Dancethon on Saturday 23rd April to help the charity WORLDwrite with its inspiring Sadhvi Sharma Memorial Scholarship fund. This fund will provide paid internships for young people interested in developing film, tv and journalism skills. To start with, the charity will use Sadhvi's Memorial fund to sponsor two young people Hleb (age 25) & Vladlena (age 22) from Ukraine to come here and work with the charity. Having reluctantly been forced to flee, they are now stuck in Poland & desperate to get here. Our film tutor Rob Harris and his wife Claire are kindly going to house Hleb and Vladlena, but we need your help in order to provide them with paid internships with the charity and to help them be more than refugees.

Sadhvi Sharma who died very young last year was herself an inspiration and would approve of us helping this aspiring young couple. You can read more about her and the fund on the charity's JustGiving page. Meanwhile, I do hope you will sponsor our team and support our attempt to help the charity. Sadhvi's partner Fredrik will match fund all we can raise up to 30K so we need to get our dancing shoes on and raise all we can with your help. Do dig deep, it's easy to do here and totally secure.
