Raising money for Nottingham University Hospitals Charity

The Big QMC Abseil 2025 · 6 September 2025 ·

Help your Hospitals by abseiling down the QMC and raising funds for the area of the Hospitals closest to your heart.

Story

Sam, Lois, Cess, Amy, Lisa and Serin are braving a 100-foot drop – and we need your support! 🧗‍♀️💙

Very soon, we’ll be stepping off the edge of one of the UK’s tallest hospitals, abseiling 100 feet down the side of the building – all to raise money for NUH Charities, which support the amazing work done across Nottingham’s hospitals every single day.

This is more than just a physical challenge – it’s a leap (literally!) outside our comfort zones for a cause that’s incredibly close to our hearts. Whether you’ve been treated at one of our hospitals, know someone who has, or simply want to support the incredible staff and services that care for thousands every year – this is your chance to make a real impact.

Your support reaches across all four Nottingham Hospitals:

🏥 Queen’s Medical Centre (QMC)

🏥 Nottingham City Hospital

🏥 Nottingham Children's Hospital

🏥 Ropewalk House

From frontline staff to behind-the-scenes heroes, these hospitals serve thousands of patients every day. Your generosity helps us go above and beyond what NHS funding can provide – bringing comfort, innovation, and compassion into every corner of care.

Please support us as we take on this incredible challenge.

Every donation – no matter how big or small – helps us make every single step of the descent count. If you’re unable to donate right now, you can still help by sharing our fundraiser, spreading the word, and cheering us on!

With your help, we can turn a nerve-wracking 100-foot drop into something truly life-changing. 🙌

Thank you so much for your kindness, your support, and your belief in what we’re doing. We really couldn’t do it without you. 💙
