Raising money for Down Syndrome UK | Positive About Down Syndrome

We are back for this year's Big PADS Push! Join us for our virtual sponsored walk to help raise awareness and funds.

Story

We are proud to announce that we are organising a 2.1-mile (walk/run/bike/skate/push a buggy, cruise on a ride-on-toy) event in Great Waltham to raise vital funds in support of PADs Push - Positive about Down syndrome are a charity dedicated to individuals with Down syndrome.

** FULL DETAILS OF LOCATION TBC **

This meaningful event is more than just a walk—it is a celebration of inclusion, ability, and community spirit. By participating, we aim to shine a light on the importance of creating opportunities that empower individuals with Down syndrome to thrive and achieve their fullest potential.

T21 is another name for Down syndrome, specifically referring to trisomy 21, a genetic condition caused by the presence of an extra full or partial copy of chromosome 21. We have therefore chosen 2.1 miles as our distance for the walk.

The funds raised through this walk will directly support programs that provide essential resources, educational initiatives, family support services, and inclusive activities that enrich the lives of children and adults with Down syndrome. Every step we take represents a commitment to building a more compassionate society where every individual is valued and celebrated.

We invite you to support our efforts by contributing to this cause. Whether through a donation, joining us on the walk or by helping us spread awareness, your generosity will make a lasting impact.

Together, we can ensure that individuals with Down syndrome have the opportunities they deserve to live fulfilling and empowered lives.

Thank you for standing with us as we walk 2.1 miles toward a brighter and more inclusive future for all 🥰

Love,

The Extra Sparkle squad xx
