Story
Harry, Isaac, Alfred and Raffy, representing Parkside School are taking part in the schools triathlon on Sunday 19 May at Cranleigh School in Surrey. They will each need to swim 50 m, cycle 1000 m and run 750 m and will be competing as a team called the Gladiators.
As part of the event, they are asked to raise money for charity and have pledged to raise £100 each. The first £50 raised will go to Restless Development. The second £50 raised will go to your Parkside School's chosen charity, Wildlife Aid. Anything raised over £100 will be donated to Restless Development as the organising charity.
Restless Development, an international development charity that puts young people at the very heart of dealing with the issues that affect them, their communities, and their countries. Restless Development leads youth-led development by delivering health, education and employment skills to young people across Africa and Asia.
Wildlife Aid is dedicated to the rescue, care and rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned wild animals. The charity deals with more than 20,000 wildlife emergencies every year and has a policy to return every patient to the wild once they have recovered.
Please support the Gladiators in their quest to raise funds for these worthwhile charities and in competing in their first triathlons. Supporters and cheer squads are very welcome on the day!
