Story
This September, Jay and I will be taking on the Prostate Cancer UK 100-mile walking challenge - averaging out at about 3.5 miles a day over the month (5km per day).
Prostate cancer is a cause that is close to our hearts having affected people close to us.
We’re raising money to support Prostate Cancer UK and its work to improve the diagnosis, treatment and survival of men affected by the disease.
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK, with around 1 in 8 men being diagnosed during their lifetime. Research is vital in helping doctors detect prostate cancer earlier, understand how it develops and find better treatments — particularly for men whose cancer has spread or become harder to treat.
There have been huge advances in prostate cancer research and treatment, but there is still so much more to do.
So, throughout September, we’ll be walking 100 miles to help raise money for this important work.
Any donation, however small, would mean so much and help support Prostate Cancer UK’s vital work.
