Our Story – The Light Blue Lancashire Lappers 💙

We are The Light Blue Lancashire Lappers, a team made up of members of the East Lancashire Light Blue Club, representing Freemasons from every corner of our Province.

In June 2026 we’ll be taking part in Rossendale Relay for Life, a 24-hour fundraising event supporting Cancer Research UK. From noon to noon, teams keep a baton moving around the track in a powerful show of community spirit, remembrance, hope, and determination to beat cancer for good.

Cancer touches every lodge, every family, and every community. It doesn’t recognise boundaries, titles or roles and neither does our commitment to making a difference.

Last year our Rossendale Relay community raised over £27,000, and together we’re aiming to help push that total beyond £30,000 this year. As a team, we’ve set ourselves the challenge of raising £2,000 and with your support, we know we can smash it.

Many of us will be camping overnight, walking through the early hours, supporting the event behind the scenes, and proudly showing the public what Freemasonry is truly about: charity, fellowship, and helping those who need us.

Whether you donate £2 or £200, every single pound helps CRUK move closer to the breakthroughs that save lives.

Every step we take honours those we’ve lost, celebrates those still fighting, and brings hope to the future.
