As many of you already know, our beautiful boy was admitted to Trevor Mann Baby Unit at just 2 days old with suspected seizures. We spent what felt like endless days waiting for a diagnosis, desperate for something to give us the answers as to why our baby was so unwell, and more importantly, what we could do to help him. Finally, at 7 days old, we got a diagnosis that our boy had a genetic disorder of which there was no cure and we would have just a few hours left with him. Theo came off his ventilator and stayed with us for another 2 days and allowed us the chance to spend some precious last moments with him, without all the tubes and wires, and we even got to take him to the beach ♥️

The angels that work at TMBU were nothing short of extraordinary. At our most desperate time of need, they wrapped us up in their arms and became such an important part of our lives, guiding us through step by step. It felt like we’d known them all for months by the time we left, not just a short week, and that’s testament to how incredibly open, loving and supportive they all are.

We were then offered the support of Chestnut Treehouse Hospice, an organisation we previously knew nothing about. Again, they have swept us up and cared for us and our baby boy even after he’d passed. We’ve been fed (well!), watered and given a cosy roof over our heads, with Theo by our side, and given the time to try to start to process what we’ve been through. We’ve been given the opportunity to continue to make precious memories as a family in the most incredible setting and with the most wonderful people.

We would just love to give something back to these amazing organisations, in memory of our gorgeous little forever baby, Theo.
