The Orange Socks

Raising money for Great North Air Ambulance Service
In memory of Nick Thomas

Join us for the GYRO (GNAAS Yearly Ride Out), a non-competitive cycling event for riders of all levels. Enjoy a fantastic day in the saddle while helping raise essential funds for the Great North Air Ambulance Service.

Story

Our team, The Orange Socks, which consists of Nick Langfield, Keith Lofthouse, Mick Trow, Rob & Sue Mander are taking on a challenge. This 60 mile bike ride in Cumbria on July 19th is to raise funds for the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) in memory of Nick Thomas. Nick sadly passed away on a bike ride in Spain in November 2025. GNAAS was a wonderful cause close to his heart.

The work GNAAS does is critical – from responding to emergencies in remote areas to saving lives every day, they’re there when people need them most. Now, we want to do our part by raising vital funds to help them continue this essential service.

Please consider supporting us with a donation. Every penny raised will go directly to GNAAS, helping them provide life-saving care to those who need it most.

Your support means the world to us– together, we can make a difference! Thank you for helping us take on this challenge for such a worthy cause.
