Story
The existing Minehead Lifeboat Station was built in 1901 following the decision by the RNLI to establish a lifeboat station at Minehead.
The original lifeboat station has been adapted and expanded over the years and now houses the stations Atlantic 85 and D-Class Inshore Lifeboats along with the stations shop. But the space available is very limited and does not provide the modern facilities to support the lifesaving work of our volunteer crews and the teams that support them.
This Appeal has been launched to fund the £1 million cost of renovating and extending the existing lifeboat station to provide modern facilities, which include dedicated changing facilities, workshop, training and crew welfare facilities and public access to view and support the amazing work of the Minehead volunteers.
With your help we can provide our volunteer crews and their support teams with the facilities that they need to continue their work of saving lives along the Somerset and North Devon Coastline.
