Story
I'm joining Team Wetherspoon Challenge 80.
We as a team will be walking 80 miles between the 1-30 June to raise funds to support children and young people with cancer.
Why 80 miles?
Young cancer patients face an 80 mile round trip, on average, to get treatment. This isn't by choice. Many young cancer patients have to travel to specialist cancer centres to get the care they need, they can't just go to their local hospital. Not only is this physically and emotionally exhausting, it comes with a huge financial cost too.
How your donations help:
£5 covers toiletries and cleaning essentials for families in a Home from Home.
£10 could re-stock the kitchen cupboards at a Home from Home
£26 funds an hour of support from a Young Lives vs Cancer specialist social worker
£80 could fund one night of free accommodation at one of Young Lives vs Cancer's Homes from Home.
