Raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support
In memory of Leanne Turner

Peak District Mighty Hike 2025 - full marathon · 19 July 2025 ·

Greene King are proud to have supported Macmillan since 2012 and helped to raise over £20 million.

Story

Last year, our beloved Leanne was diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer. She faced every challenge with incredible strength, courage, and a heart full of love. Sadly, in late February 2025, she lost her battle. Her passing has left an unimaginable void in our lives, but her kindness, warmth, and fighting spirit will always be remembered.

Throughout her journey, Macmillan Cancer Support were there, offering guidance, comfort, and care, not just for Leanne but for all of us who stood by her side. Now, we want to give back and help other families going through the same difficult journey.

So, with this in mind, myself, Nigel, Will, Kate, Billy, Frankie, Jade, Andy, Kim and Matt will be taking on the Mighty Hike Full Marathon! We are raising funds in Leanne’s memory to support Macmillan’s incredible work. Every donation, big or small, will help provide vital support to those facing cancer, ensuring they never have to go through it alone.

Please donate if you can, and help us honour Leanne’s memory by making a difference in the lives of others.

Thank you for your kindness and support.

Greene King are proud to have supported Macmillan since 2012 and have helped to raise over £20 million. We are fundraising so that Macmillan can help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can and continue to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
