Story

John Wallace passed away suddenly but peacefully on the 2nd November 2021, aged just 45, with his wife, Michelle, and children, Olivia and Adam, by his side, at the age of 45. Had he of had more time, John would have been transferred back home to receive Longfield‘s Hospice at Home care, to spend his final days with his family, however, that wasn’t possible. Longfield Community Hospice have since still supported Michelle, Olivia and Adam with the death of John through 1:1 counselling and group sessions. In memory of John, Michelle, Olivia, Adam and Brad will be taking part in Longfield’s 17km Sunrise Trek up Pen Y Fan on 21st/22nd April 2023. All donations go straight to Longfield. £175 will allow a person to have 3 hours of Hospice at Home care which would mean the world to a family going through similar to what we did. Michelle, Olivia, Adam and Brad are aiming to raise £175+ each!

At Longfield Community Hospice, we continually strive to reach everyone in Gloucestershire who needs our care, often during the precious last months, weeks and days of their lives.
