Myself, my Mam (Ceila) and Dad (Graeme) and our friends and family do as much as We can to raise money and awareness for the likes of MOVEMBER, CALM, MIND and the Samaritans etc To name a few.

We have done interviews and treks with CALM, Sky dives for MIND. Grown a tash for MOVEMBER for several years, raised money for the Samaritans, as well as beginning to start our own men’s health group called “Thors Army” after our families love of Viking mythology and marvel comics.... my brothers nickname being Thor 💪🏽💚⚒

Also I am currently looking to leave my career and start a new one in the men’s health and suicide sector which is something I am passionate about and something that is close to my heart.

Calum (Thor) McGurk was our son, brother, cousin and friend....He was my close brother and one of my best friends.

He was a beautiful, strong, hardworking, good looking mans man.... he had everything going for him and could have done anything in life it seemed.

After a bad relationship, money worries and life in general.... pride I feel took over as it does for so many of us... (just as in the police song- I can’t stand losing you).. . and due to the way we have been set up as men over the history of time, struggling to talk and let our emotions out.... and not being allowed to do so in so many cases as it is the way society has made us feel.

And so While working away from home and in his hotel room he took his own life... he was only 27

3 years later I’m doing better and I feel up to doing more and helping people again. The grief slips by and gets me every now and then but I suppose that understandable after losing my close brother and one of my best friends.
