‘Brother in laws David and Ryan are taking on the Three Peaks Challenge in just 24 hours to raise money in honour for Shanna, David’s wife and Ryan’s sister’

In September 2024, Shanna was suddenly diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, alongside several major complications that led to further illnesses and a major operation into 2025. Thanks to her strength, determination, and the incredible support she received, she is now on the road to recovery and rebuilding her life.

Type 1 Diabetes will be with Shanna forever, but it won’t beat her. Over the past year, she has faced it head-on, learning how to live with the condition and gaining control of it, never letting it control her.

This wouldn’t have been possible without the help of charities such as Diabetes UK and the outstanding care provided by the staff at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. The journey continues, but Shanna is not alone, The Type 1 community is full of amazing people, support, and encouragement.

We want to give back, so we’re pushing ourselves to complete the Three Peaks Challenge in 24 hours. We are currently in full training and will keep everyone updated on progress, Every donation will help support the vital work that makes a difference for people living with Type 1 Diabetes.

The 11th of July is nearly here and we are ready to take on this challenge
