Story
My self Jason Fyles and Sean Baldwin, are making a surprise announcement today, to all of our family and friends via Pendleside Hospice’s social platforms! 👀
We have both signed up to do the Manchester Duo Marathon consisting of a half marathon on the 13th of October 2024, followed by a full marathon on the 27th of April 2025.
We are fundraising for Pendleside in memory of David ‘Tids’ Turner! David is front and centre of our t-shirts with a photo of him crossing the line of the London Marathon in 2000!
David was in the Hospice for some time during 2020 and sadly died in early 2021, on his son-in-law, Jason’s birthday. The Turner family became a huge part of our Hospice family during the pandemic, and had their campervan parked on our car park for a number of weeks.
The family have supported Pendleside Hospice by featuring as our Light Up a Life family in 2021, and have also held numerous fundraisers over the past few years, collectively raising an outstanding £23,605.56!
The lads have set themselves a target to raise £3,930, raising £100 for every mile they run. They're also training hard to beat David’s marathon time of 4 hours 32 minutes! 💪
We love their surprise announcement and we wish them well with their challenge. If you would like to sponsor them you can do this via their JustGiving page 👉 www.justgiving.com/page/jason-fyles-1716376271011
