Raising money for The Rowans Hospice

Moon & Stars Memories Walk · 24 October 2020 ·

This is a new event combining June's Moonlit Memories Walk and October's childens Starlit Walk, which were cancelled this year as part of the Coronavirus restrictions. Join us to celebrate the memory of a loved one and support your local Hospice!

Story

Rowans Hospice is a charity which provides outstanding end of life care for people across Portsmouth and south east Hampshire, from diagnosis, to end of life care and bereavement support, entirely free of charge.

It costs over £7million a year to provide this care and Rowans Hospice relies on charitable giving to cover 90% of this income.

The Coronavirus outbreak has caused unprecedented losses to income with Retail shops closed, donations in decline, and fundraising events and activity cancelled. While physical events and large gatherings can not happen, virtual events like the Moon and Stars Memories Walk are vital to keep us there to care for everyone who needs us.

Your support now will ensure we can continue to be there for everyone in our local community who needs Hospice Care.
