Story
This is all for you, Mum.
As many of you know I lost my wonderful mum Zita to pancreatic cancer last year. She was a force to be reckoned with and she didn’t go down without a fight. She ensured she was at both mine and Alex’s wedding in September 2024, and at the scan for her first grandchild the month before she passed. I miss and think of her everyday, but her spirit without a doubt lives on.
My dad and mum’s best friend Leesa took on Beat The Gower Coast last year, and whilst raising money for this fantastic cause, also had a wonderful time. I cheered them on at the finish line with newborn baby Max.
I promised myself that this year it would be my turn to take on the Gower hike and honour mum myself.
Two of my amazing friends have offered to join to help fundraise and keep me company on this adventure - thank you so much Beth & Ciara. I can’t wait to share this special experience with you!
Please can we as a team request donations for the Marie Curie charity. They provided compassionate care for my mum in her last few weeks of life. It really does make a difference.
No donation is too small, and we are grateful for any pennies received and all forms of motivation and encouragement for the event on 5th September 2026.
