Story
Last year, Tom sadly lost one of his oldest friends, Josh Cripps. Josh was diagnosed with motor neurone disease when we were at school, and told he’d probably be lucky to reach his 18th birthday. In typical Josh fashion, he ignored the doctors and made it to the ripe old age of (almost) 31.
Motor neurone disease is a horrible illness, and watching someone who used to be better at football than me slowly becoming less and less physically able was heartbreaking. Not that it ever stopped Josh from being the most positive person I’ve ever known, taking the piss out of everyone he ever met, and talking non stop about Leicester City.
I wanted to do something to remember Josh, and to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, in the hope that one day no one will have to go through what Josh, as well as his family and friends, did. So on the 25th May, James has very kindly agreed to accompany me on an epic challenge: walking from London to Brighton in (hopefully) less than 24 hours. I get out of breath walking to the train station these days, so this will be a real challenge. So please, get your wallets out, share this page and help us raise as much money as possible for MNDA!
