Story
They say pressure is a privilege.
For Tom and me, training towards a 5-day ultramarathon through the Italian Alps this Autumn, that is undoubtedly true.
We've run countless circuits of London parks, raced the trails of the South Downs Way, scaled Scottish, Welsh and Cornish hills in sideways rain, and negotiated everything from sheep in the road to children out of bed, all in pursuit of the right kind of mental and physical fitness for this multi-day suffer-fest.
But for the people we run for, pressure, suffering and hardship is no privilege. They have no choice. It is for them that we count ourselves lucky enough to run this race.
From 27 September - 3 October, we'll be running 250km in the Dolomites with TRIBE Freedom Foundation to help end modern slavery and support its survivors.
Over 50 million people are living in modern slavery worldwide with an estimated 122,000 people exploited and trafficked within the UK. That's more people living in slavery than ever before, both in the UK and globally.
TRIBE Freedom Foundation is on a mission to fight modern slavery and end human trafficking. They work by raising awareness of trafficking, supporting survivors and enabling frontline projects to prevent modern slavery. They empower communities to create an impact.

Together, we will go further and faster to end modern slavery. Any donations, little and large, are deeply appreciated.
