This year, we’ll be taking part in the Starlight Hike in memory of our amazing Dad, Tom Cumiskey.

Sadly, Dad lost his final battle with cancer in October last year. One of his final wishes was no more hospitals and to be at home, surrounded by his family. Thanks to Manorlands, we were able to make that wish a reality.

The support, care and compassion we received as a family was truly unmatched. Dad’s palliative care nurse, Katie, really was an earth angel. The kindness and care she showed Dad, and all of us, will never be forgotten.

Now it’s our turn to give something back, just as Dad would have wanted.

So, alongside some of our closest friends, Leigh, Kim, Leaine, Sarah, Kelly, Emma and Catherine, who have helped us through the hardest year, we’ll be lacing up our trainers/boots and taking on the Starlight Hike in Dad’s memory.

We’ll walk every step for Dad, while raising money to help Manorlands continue to provide the same incredible care and support to other families when they need it most.

For Dad. For Manorlands. And for all the families who need them.
