In the dark and cold days of December, we had an idea…create a team of four brave souls, ready to raise money for an extremely good cause and tackle the ultimate(?) test of strength, endurance, and questionable decision-making: Race the Sun Lake District Off-Road Challenge for Action Medical Research.

Now, let me introduce you to the team. Andy, Dom, Doug and James, who are collectively known as team Tour de Farce! A brave bunch, some would say foolhardy, who in May we will be setting off at sunrise to bike, hike, and paddle around a challenging course in a race against the sun, covering over 26 miles.

We are racing in aid of children's charity, Action Medical Research. They have spent over 70 years funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children, and young people.

Together we plan to take Race the Sun by storm. Team Tour de Farce will be striving to test strength and endurance, with the determination to succeed and raise money for a very worthy cause.
