In May 2024 we, Tracey and Rosalyn, will be taking on the challenge of the Great Wall of China Half Marathon. We are taking on this tough challenge in order to raise money for the Sheffield Children's Hospital Ward 6, and Weston Park Hospital in Sheffield. Please could you take the time to read our stories below and hopefully help us reach our target.

The very brave Teddy Kelly is currently receiving treatment at Sheffield Children's Hospital. Teddy is 6 years old, he is a crazy fun loving boy who is never happier than when he is on his motorbike or spending time with his Brother, Cousins and friends.

In October last year life changed drastically for Teddy when he was diagnosed with grade 4 High risk neuroblastoma, which is a tumour in his adrenal glands that has spread to multiple sites in his body. Life changed overnight as Teddy was admitted to Hospital for investigations, this escalated and with the fantastic team at Sheffield Children’s Hospital a plan was formulated as they took over his care. Teddy has a long road ahead of him, including chemotherapy, surgery, a stem cell transplant and radiotherapy.

The Children’s Hospital is a place of excellence and Teddy continues to work his way through his treatment with a resilience that is admirable. Ward 6 at the Children”s Hospital specialises in Paediatric Oncology and Haematology and has been home from home for Teddy and his family, supporting them and guiding them along his journey. Their care and compassion is infinite, and their knowledge and enthusiasm for the well being of all the children in their care is exemplary.

Weston Park Hospital provides world leading cancer treatment delivered by some of the most highly regarded cancer specialists in Europe. But what makes them special is the way they cared for our Dad Eric back in 2010 and now for our lovely friend Helen Lee who is recovering from her recent treatment. We know that their kindness and support for us and for Helen and her family made our journeys that much easier and we cannot thank them enough.
