Team Anita Branson are taking part in Trek26Stonehenge2021-13Miles

Our mum Anita Avril Branson died on the 18 July 2020 at the age of 95.

Her journey with Alzheimer’s began when she was 75. In the early years of her diagnosis she persevered to keep her life as normal as possible with our dad at her side. For the last decade of her life she wasn’t able to talk to us, however she always had a knowing smile which communicated 1000 unspoken words of love.

With the support from a wonderful and very special care team, mum was able to live at her home, close to her family.

She died on a sunny Saturday afternoon, very peacefully - surrounded by all her children and knowing she was deeply loved.

Throughout her long journey with this disease, mum’s strength of character and determination not to give up astonished everyone that came into contact with her.

Perhaps this part of her journey, more than any other part of her life, has confirmed to us what an amazing and beautiful woman she was.

Team Anita Branson will be walking to raise money for the Alzheimers society.
