Trek Mount Toubkal for St Catherine’s Hospice

In December 2025, we lost our lovely friend Sarah after a brave and short battle with cancer. In her final weeks, Sarah was cared for at St Catherine’s Hospice, where she was surrounded by family and friends.

The care, compassion and dignity shown by the team at St Catherine’s meant that Sarah was comfortable and peaceful, while also providing invaluable support to those who loved her. At an incredibly difficult time, their kindness made things just a little more bearable.

Earlier that same year, in April 2025, I also lost my mum, and once again St Catherine’s Hospice was there for us when we needed them most. Experiencing their support twice in such a short space of time has shown us just how vital their work is.

St Catherine’s Hospice offers care and support to patients and families at the end of life, but they rely heavily on donations to continue providing this incredible service. Without fundraising and generosity, this care simply wouldn’t be possible.

Sarah was an amazing friend to so many, as well as a much-loved sister and daughter. She always put others before herself. To honour her memory, and to support the hospice that cared for her so compassionately, Theresa and I will be trekking to the summit of Mount Toubkal in Morocco. This is the highest peak in Africa at over 4000 metres.

We are funding the trip ourselves, so every donation will go directly to St Catherine’s Hospice. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help them continue to provide the care, comfort and compassion that meant so much to us.
