UPDATE: WE BOTH MADE IT! 3+hours in the water, beautiful morning with sun, unbelievably the two ‘Seniors’ in woolly hats manage all the way! Although it was a really real challenge!!!

SANDRA and LISA are joining an epic 9.5k swim down The River Tweed on Sunday 14th September - hoping we can swim far enough to raise some money for The Borders Water Rescue Team! (And that we don’t need to be ‘rescued’ 😳)

They provide water based search, rescue & recovery services in conjunction with the emergency services. They are a volunteer team, including Rescue3 qualified personnel who are able to assist with search and rescue of those individuals who have got into trouble in our many areas of water. In addition, they provide health and safety support for many water based community activities such as Common Riding water crossings, film sets & large scale obstacle courses.

They are an essential service on our doorstep providing peace of mind. You never know when any of us will require and be hugely grateful for their commitment and services.
