THE SPACE to Run (Leicestershire’s favourite women’s-only run club) has 38 incredible members taking on the Leicester 10K and Half Marathon in support of LOROS.

As a club, our mission is to raise as much money as possible for this amazing local charity that has touched the lives of so many people in our community. LOROS provides free, compassionate care and support for terminally ill patients, their families, and carers, making an immeasurable difference when it’s needed most.

For many of us, this will be our biggest running challenge yet. Our longest weekly club run is just 7KM, so taking on a 10KM and especially a half marathon (which 34 out of the 38 runners are) is a huge step outside our comfort zones. Every KM we run will be fuelled by the incredible support we receive from our friends, families, and community.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference to LOROS and will help keep us motivated throughout our training and on race day. If you’re unable to donate, simply sharing our page would mean the world to us.

LOROS is a charity whose aim is to enhance the quality of life of adult patients with cancer, progressive neurological conditions and end-stage organ failure for whom curative treatment is no longer possible. Patients are treated at the Hospice and in the community based upon clinical need, regardless of background and the ability to pay.
