Raising money for Jimmy's Cambridge and The Gatehouse

Story

The annual Varsity March is a 130 km walk between Oxford and Cambridge, completed in less than 48 hours without sleep! Walkers from both Cambridge University Rambling Club and Oxford University Walking Club take part.

We are setting the initial 37 km section from Oxford to Aylesbury as the primary target for all walkers. Many walkers do not plan to walk the full distance but instead turn out to support their friends for large chunks of it.

This year, the full 131 km (81 miles) was completed in just over 37 hours by Dominika Baerova, Will Brown, Ben Keener, Justin Muchnick, Tommy Roberts, Stephanie Smith, and mascot Dylan the Sheep. In addition Anna Schyberg did Oxford to Ashwell (102 km), and Michael Lam, Kiarn Turner and Tom Wainwright did Oxford to Aylesbury (37 km). Congratulations to all.

This year we are again raising money for the Gatehouse charity in Oxford and for Jimmy’s Cambridge. These charities carry out vital work among the homeless and poorly housed of Oxford and Cambridge. You can make a donation via either of the two pages linked below - there is one for each charity. We encourage you to either split your donation between the Gatehouse and Jimmy's Cambridge , or donate to whichever currently has the smallest total.
