A safe home is our foundation, it’s where we thrive. Yet every day, people across the UK and Ireland are facing the challenges of the housing emergency.

A household becomes homeless every 3 minutes in the England. In 2024, over 159,000 children didn’t have a home yet 55% of homeless families are in work. In the Republic of Ireland, 14,000 people currently rely on emergency accommodation. These aren't just numbers – the housing crisis affects the communities we serve daily.

That’s why Veolia is working to tackle homelessness across GB, NI and the Republic of Ireland. In Ireland, we are working with Focus Ireland, who believee that everyone has a right to a place they can call home.

Since its foundation, Focus Ireland’s mission has been to develop homelessness services that directly involve those who are homeless, or have been directly affected by homelessness. They provide advice, information, advocacy and help with finding a home. Their research and advocacy work ensures that the rights of people who are homeless remain on the political agenda. In addition to our Dublin projects, we now have services and housing projects across Ireland including in Waterford, Kilkenny, Cork, Sligo and Limerick.

Together, we will transform tomorrow for people facing homelessness and unfit housing across the UK.
