Story
Hi and thank you for visiting and donating.
Gareth and Holly are completing this grueling challenge in aid of Trauma Research UK. A charity that is close to the hearts of both Gareth and Holly.
Whilst Gareth was a serving police officer he suffered with debilitating PTSD which gradually became worse, after years of continually attended some horrific incidents.
Had it not been for the schema therapy's created by Nik and Eva Speakman, who treated Gareth on This Morning in 2018, Gareth would not be where he is today living life to the full.
It is Nik and Eva's mission to illuminate that there is ALWAYS HOPE, and overcoming trauma and improving quality of life is entirely possible. Gareth is proof that PTSD can be overcome !!
TRUK provides help and support programmes devised with the help of Nik and Eva Speakman, to those living with trauma and anxiety-related disorders such as phobias, panic attacks, PTSD, OCD, GAD, etc.
Gareth and Holly now want to give something back, and want to raise at least £4000, which will not only help provide the programmes to hundreds of trauma sufferers across the UK.
The three peaks challenge is a grueling 24 hour challenge in which Gareth and Holly will scale the 3 highest peaks in the UK - Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scarfell (Lakes - England) and Snowden (Wales). They will start at the foot of Ben Nevis at 6am on the 7th June and will finish thier decent of Snowden by 6am on Sunday 8th June. Yes that does mean that Snowden will be ascended in the middle of the night.
Please help Gareth and Holly by supporting with a donation of what ever you can !!! Every little helps.
If you would like to help by donating any items to raffle to raise money for the target please reach out to us.
