Story
We’re taking on the Three Peaks Challenge… in 220 minutes per mountain!
This year, Vision Norfolk is celebrating a remarkable milestone – 220 years of supporting people living with sight loss in Norfolk. To mark this special anniversary, we’re setting ourselves a huge fundraising challenge.
On the 5th, 6th and 7th of September, three of our team –
Andrew (our Chief Executive),
Helen (Activities Coordinator and Support Worker), and
Barbara (Services Manager and Deputy Chief Executive) –
will be taking on the Three Peaks Challenge.
That’s Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon – the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales – over just three days. And to mark our 220th birthday, we’ve added an extra twist:
We aim to climb to the summit of each mountain within 220 minutes – that’s just 3 hours and 40 minutes per summit!
We’re doing this to raise vital funds for Vision Norfolk, helping the charity continue to providing life-changing support, activities, and services to blind and vision-impaired people across the county.
Every step we take (and every ache we feel!) will help fund things like:
• Equipment and technology to support independent living
• Social groups and activity sessions to reduce isolation
• Specialist support from our community team and ECLOs
• Advice, guidance and practical help for anyone affected by sight loss
Please support us if you can – whether it’s £2.20, £22 or £220, every donation will make a real difference.
Thank you for being part of our journey and our history!
Let’s do this – for 220 years of support, and many more to come.
